Traditional and Minimalist Poster Analysis

Me and Earl and The Dying Girl - Posters

Minimalist Poster

This poster is a minimalist poster. The main focus is on the lolly, the lolly is symbolic in the movie and so doesn't reveal anything to the audience about the movie but more acts like a teaser.

Traditional Poster

The traditional poster has the main cast on the screen with more images from the movie making the whole poster more clear to the audience of the genre gives them a better understanding.

Reflection of Creative Project

From completing this creative project, I have discovered how you much has changed through time in the way that movies and films are marketed.
One of my particular favourite pieces of work was creating the theatrical trailer as it required work from story boarding to editing the final piece.
I also like how I have presented a lot of my work in more creative ways instead of plain block text. This new layout means that it is more appealing to the user.
When completing this project I also had to work on the new Blogger which had changed since I last used it. This meant that I had to do a lot of trial and error with themes and the way that my blog will come together.
However from this doing this project I wish I could have presented some of my work in even more unique ways, for example doing videos and more of a variation.
To conclude, I have thoroughly enjoyed this project from the simple tasks such as task management to the more complex editing skills that I have improved greatly.
